Inertial Sensor Technology
Research & Development
MET Tech's team of scientists and engineers are equipped with expertise in modeling, design, electronics, applications, and systems integration. We can tailor our technology to maximize your results and assist in the creation of your innovative new products.
MET Technology is highly flexible and scalable. If our current sensor products are not a perfect match for your application, we can create custom sensors and integrate them with your systems. Some examples of customizable characteristics are:
Bandwidth/frequency range
Internal dimensions of the sensing element determine the operating frequency range and whether the output is proportional to acceleration or velocity.
Sensitivity
Both sensing element dimensions and electrolyte composition can be varied to adjust the sensitivity range for strong signals, extremely weak signals, or anything in between.
Size
Our miniature sensors have excellent sensitivity and performance for most applications and can be integrated on an electronics board. Where extremely high sensitivity and low noise is called for, size can be scaled up to meet the most demanding requirements.
Noise level
the noise level attained is a complex function of sensor size, internal dimensions, electrolyte composition, and electronic component choices.
Temperature
electrolyte composition can be tailored for very low temperature (down to -55C) or high temperature (+85C, up to +150C in development) operating ranges.
Hybrid sensors
MET Tech has experience in designing hybrid MET/MEMS sensors for specialized requirements, and/or integrating MET sensors with a variety of components.
G-sensitivity
Sensitivity to gravity can be minimized where necessary. Let us work with you to design a product that meets your
specific needs.
